Nature is a natural healing agent. The wilderness makes no demands on us.

My Approach

By taking clients out of the four walls of the therapy office, they experience a unique setting for self-learning, awareness, problem-solving and individual growth. I conduct Individual and Group Psychotherapy integrated with Adventure-Based and Experiential approaches on a limited basis. As a former United States Marine and lifelong outdoor sportsman, I deeply value the potential for growth offered by working in nature.

Initial outdoor sessions begin with a review of safety protocols and last for 1-3 hours. During “talk therapy,” clients are introduced to new “risk-taking” experiences. They often confront tasks or problem-solving opportunities that are designed as metaphors for real issues targeted by their formal treatment plan.
